Description
It was tough to put a date on this one. I've been to or watched every Army-Navy Game since 1990. It is, undeniably, America's Game. Its significance in my life has evolved over the years, as a cadet, an Army Officer, and a nostalgic "Old Grad." This year, more than ever, I am most nostalgic of my rockbound, highland home. The pandemic, our country's departure from its core founding values, business struggles and toxic people in my life made 2020 one of the most challenging ever. But somewhere in the darkness, I re-discovered the fire in my soul, and nothing gets me more fired up than the Army-Navy. For 3 hours, these young men will battle as adversaries on the fields of friendly strife. But at the end, they will return to being Brothers In Arms – on the same team. As tradition has it, each side sings the other’s alma mater after the game. The losing team sings theirs first and the winning team sings second... #SingSecond. GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY!
